Companies › Burnout prevention programme for companies
Staff turnover is really high. What should I do?
Updated · Lon Clinic
Short answer: high turnover is a symptom. Find where it concentrates (which teams, which managers, first 6 months or later) before acting. Then fix the cause: weak onboarding, overload, management or lack of progression.
Diagnose in 4 steps
- Calculate turnover by team: voluntary leavers in the year ÷ average headcount.
- Look for patterns in exit interviews.
- Run an anonymous burnout and psychosocial risk questionnaire.
- Cross-check: teams with more burnout usually have more leavers.
The cost of doing nothing
Worldwide, the WHO and ILO estimate 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety. In your company, add up replacement, absence and presenteeism with the burnout cost calculator.
